Our client is growing strongly and is seeking Smart Grid Management Consultants with direct knowledge and experience in the areas of Smart Grid (SG) Initiatives for utilities and/ or the telecommunications infrastructure initiatives designed to support next-generation utility system communications.

The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a solid track record with the desire to excel in solving business issues and delivering client value.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic and business case analysis of Smart Grid deployment scenarios

• Business process evaluation and redesign, especially as it relates to Smart Grid and revenue cycle services within a typical utility

• Technical and functional requirements development for network automation, renewables integration, advanced metering, communications, network operations and network business IT systems

• Program management of large-scale Smart Grid system deployments

• Annunciate and influence industry trends in Smart Grid, IT business solutions, utility automation, demand response, and relevant regulatory factors

• Take a lead role in building and developing a strong industry presence and credibility in the field

Experience / Education:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

• Extensive experience in working with an electric, water or gas utility and/or a demonstrated track record in working as a management consultant to utility clients

• Proven utility relationships and a project track record in Smart Grid projects with electric/gas/water utilities

• Documented track record of working with utility Smart Grid systems, including network automation, renewables integration, advanced metering, communications, network operations and network business IT systems and/or network business processes.

• Ability to demonstrate strong skills and experience in interviewing techniques, including pre-discussion preparation, issues identification and analysis.

• Have a willingness to travel on a regular basis within Europe and internationally
