We are actively seeking a Smart Metering Solution Architect on behalf of one of our clients. The Smart Metering Solution Archtect will be joining a growing team on a UK based Smart Metering implementation.

The Smart Metering Solution Architect will have the following responsibilities:

- Translating the business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture.
- Consulting with Solution Design, Service Management, Account Management, company executives and customers to deliver solutions.
- Attending customer meetings to support Sales in technical discussions with customers.
- Project Management of non-standard products from pre-sales to implementation.
- Use tools to support our implementation of contingent staff management.
- Respond to price quote requests for various services.
- Prepare proposal presentations, management reports and other ad-hoc requests, CRM pipeline management.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience in Smart Metering and the Utilities sector.
- Technology related experience delivering enterprise level software solutions, creating value propositions.
- Significant breadth and in-depth knowledge of Infrastructure, Data Warehouse, IT Architecture, Large Scale Databases, SAN, Enterprise Software (SAP preferably), Service Oriented Architecture.
- Professional services and consulting organization expertise.
- Experienced in solutions design, estimations, and proposal development/responses (presales support/leadership) in large complex IT environment.
- Ability to manipulate data and provide insight is critical.
- Project management skills; must be accountable for complete ownership of various tasks.
- Knowledge of billing systems or Enterprise software applications is desirable.
- Project or Program Management of solutions and products from; pre-sales, 3rd party bid/contract management, to implementation.
