Smart Energy Architect requried by one of our clients based in The Netherlands and leads all aspects of the delivery of energy & utilities solutions and related components: interfaces, conversions, HW / SW oversight (selection / sizing / configuration recommendation and execution).
The Smart Energy Architect understands business challenges and translates them into requirements and solutions.
This role provides Solution Performance (analysis / tuning) and works across business and technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition and systems architecture for the organisation.
The Smart Energy Architect is a hands-on consulting delivery role covering the entire lifecycle of a consulting and systems integration engagement.
This Smart Energy Architect will be responsible for:
- Working with and leading efforts related to a variety of IT and architecture activities
- Leading IT activities (system / data / security architecture development, design and develop)
- Developing system and interface specifications
- Advising test lead on system functionality
- Overseeing Smart Grid / Smart Metering architecture and design
- Providing specific experience with advanced metering infrastructure, meter data management systems, demand response systems, distribution
management systems, and other utility related technologies.
This position requires travel 4-5 days per week.
The Smart Energy Architect will have the following background:
• High School Diploma
• Solid team leadership (including highly technical subject matter experts) and client interaction
• Experienced in the energy and utilities industry (electric energy preferred)
• Experience in architectural methods and development approaches.
• Utilities industry specific system and application processes, incl. one or more of: advanced meter integration, smart utility grid, outage mgt., demand mgt., and/or general utility operations.
• Experienced in the design and implementation of application architecture.
• Experienced in managing the development of application and system integration associated with Intelligent Grid, advanced meter integration, demand management, and/or outage management.
• Experienced in conducting technical workshops that map business processes to required technologies.
• English: Fluent
Ideally the Smart Energy Architect will have the following background:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Team leadership (including highly technical subject matter experts) and client interaction
• Experienced in the energy and utilities industry (electric energy preferred)
• Experienced in a variety of areas of utility business expertise, including recent experience in one or more of the following: smart grid, utility networks, outage management, energy delivery/operations management
• Experience in a variety of areas of utility business expertise, including recent experience in one or more of the following: demand mgt., distributed generation, renewable integration and general utilities operations
• Experienced in architectural methods and development approaches.
• Experience in with utilities industry specific system and application processes, incl. one or more of: advanced meter integration, smart utility grid, outage mgt., demand mgt., and/or general utility operations.
• Experience in the design and implementation of application architecture.
• Experience in managing the development of application and system integration associated with Intelligent Grid, advanced meter integration, demand management, and/or outage management.
• Experience in conducting technical workshops that map business processes to required technologies.
